The Top 50 semi-finalists will be posted this afternoon together with the new procedures on how to vote.

The semi-finals will run until the midnight of August 31, 2008. The 10 finalists will be posted on September 1. And on September 7, we shall have the complete rankings of 100 Most Beautiful Pinays of 2008.

423 entries were received on August 19 in our ongoing poll for 100 Most Beautiful Pinays of 2008 and Sarah Geronimo is back on top of the game.

Our new entries for August 17, the 3rd day of our poll, include Desiree del Valle, Phoemela Barranda, Irish Fullerton, Beth Tamayo, Anna Roces, Rosanna Roces, Valerie Weignmann, Lougee Basabas, Rhea Santos, Anna Maris Igpit, Cacai Velasquez and Dionne Monsanto.

7 “unknown” entries were not counted. These are names Dianne Medina, Ellen Adarna, etc. Votes for Susan Roces, Margie Moran and Gloria Diaz were counted. They are supposed to be eliminated because of our age rule, however, we shall apply the age rule when we already come up with the top 50 (hopefully, we can post the Top 50 before midnight).

34 new celebrities entered our list on the second day of our poll 100 Most Beautiful Pinays of 2008.

Here are the votes received on August 16, Day 2 of our poll. Please take note that Day 1 votes are not yet added on this list.

34 new celebrities entered the list including Karen Davila, Jade Lopez, Nora Aunor, Danica Sotto, Hazel Ann Mendoza, Charo Santos-Concio, Ciarra Sotto, Cherry Pie Picache, Ina Feleo, Brenda Saw, Bing Loyzaga, Agot Isidro, Antoinette Taus, Alice Dixon, Pia Guanio, Asia Agcaoili, Niña Jose, Precious Adona, Gwen Garci, Jennifer Lee, Wendy Valdez, Maureen Larazabal, Krista Ranillo and Jennifer Lee.

The age rule will be applied in our selection of the Top 50 tomorrow, meaning celebrities under the age of 18 or over the age of 50 will be excluded in the list. Only the Top 50 will continue in the voting process.

Also, please take note that votes via email will be accepted ONLY UNTIL midnight tomorrow, August 21, 2008. Since it’s our semi-finals, we will have a new voting process.

On August 15, 2008 alone, we received a total number of 674 emails. 17 entries were disqualified because they only contain 1 vote. Remember our rule no. 2:

1. Votes for Sandara Park, Priscilla Meirelles, Lolit Solis, Pokwang, Ai Ai delas Alas and Becky Aguila were discounted. We reserve the right to reject votes that don’t comply with our set of rules.

2. On August 21, we will reveal the Top 50. These are the celebrities who will continue in the voting process. Their previous votes will not be discarded as it will be added to their current votes. Same rules shall apply.

As with the previous editions of our poll, YOU - our readers, will decide who will be the Most Beautiful Pinay of 2008.

Rules:

1. You can vote for any female celebrity 18 to 50 years old, regardless of occupation (she may be an actress, singer, athlete, socialite, lawyer, host, journalist, beauty queen, model, etc.) provided that she’s at least 50% Filipina by blood and she’s currently a Filipino citizen.

2. Your entry should have a minimum of two and a maximum of 10 names of the celebrities you are voting. Entries with only one name or more than 10 names will be disqualified.

3. Your entry is in no particular order. One vote will be credited per name listed.

4. One entry is valid per one email address only. In case of multiple entries using the same email address, only the first one that we receive will be valid.

5. In case there are duplicates in one entry (for example: 3 names of anne curtis or 2 names of Marian Rivera in the list), it will only be counted as 1 vote.

6. Voting will start today, August 15 and will end on the night of September 7, 2008.

7. We reserve the right to disqualify “inappropriate” entries.
